CSA Discovery Guides
Cambridge Scientific Abstracts Discovery Guides provides comprehensive information on current topics in the following areas: biomedicine, environment, social sciences and humanities, and material science. Clicking on any one of the links provides background information, citations with abstracts to key research, a selection of web sites, source information (which leads you to search in a particular article index based on the topic) and a glossary.

Current Issues: Reference Shelf Plus Authentication Required
A carefully-selected database of full-text articles from key publications covering a variety of current social, scientific, health, political, and global issues (~ 20-30 articles per topic). The topics are chosen to make up a well-rounded overview, and are then organized by subtopic for easy access. eHRAF Collection of Archaeology Authentication Required
The eHRAF Collection of Archaeology covers the prehistory of the world with a growing collection of full-text information (e.g. books, journal articles, and dissertations) on archaeological traditions.The collection is unique in that the text is subject-indexed to the paragraph level for quick retrieval of information.

Gallup Brain Authentication Required
The Gallup Brain is a searchable database providing a record of more than 70 years of public opinion information. The Gallup Brain provides full-text answers to more than 125,000 questions, and responses from more than 3.5 million people interviewed by The Gallup Poll since 1935. This poll database also houses current Gallup Poll News Service articles that feature the latest in-depth poll analyses and replicas of news stories and press releases linked to the surveys.

Hot Bills and Hot Topics from Congressional Universe
Congressional Information Service (CIS) editors have selected bills that have received national attention. These bills are under consideration or have been recently enacted by Congress. For each hot bill, you can retrieve bill tracking reports, bill text and discussions from the Congressional Record. Hot Bills are updated monthly. CIS editors have also selected topics on major issues of the day. For each hot topic, there are articles from major national and regional news sources. Hot Topics are updated monthly.

Polling the Nations Authentication Required
The online version of the American Public Opinion Index, this database is a compilation of more than 14,000 surveys conducted by more than 700 polling organizations in the United States and more than 80 other countries. Each of the nearly 350,000 records reports a question asked and the responses given. Also included in each record is the polling organization responsible for the work, the date the information was released, the sample size, and universe.
