- Statistical Abstract of the United States
As the National Data Book it contains a collection of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States. Selected international data are also included. The Abstract is also your Guide to sources of other data from the Census Bureau, other Federal agencies, and private organizations (see example table). - Commodity Price Statistics
Provides monthly free-market prices and price indices starting in January 1960 for selected commodities that concern commodity-dependant countries. Price indices are provided for commodity groups (including food, tropical beverages, vegetable oilseeds and oils, agricultural raw materials, minerals, ores and metals), and for all groups in current dollars and SDRs.

- International Data Base (IDB) - Census Bureau
The International Data Base (IDB) is a source of demographic and socio-economic statistics for 227 countries and areas of the world. The IDB combines data from individual countries with U.S. Census Bureau estimates and projections to provide information from 1950 to 2050. For a detailed list of tables and variables, see Tables and Variables in the International Data Base (IDB).
NOTE: The Census provides several methods of interacting with the database. The method that allows the most choice of country, variables and time period is called "Online Access".
- International Financial Statistics
 International Financial Statistics (IFS) is the electronic version of the International Monetary Fund's standard source of statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance from more than 200 IMF countries. It contains approximately 32,000 time series of financial and economic data. Topics covered include exchange rates, IMF postion, international liquidity, money and banking accounts, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, national accounts, and population. The database contains annual, monthly, and quarterly data going back as far as 1945. Data output formats include CSV, Excel. HTML, and TAB delimited. - LexisNexis Statistical
 Index to statistical publications from US and state government agencies, international intergovernmental organizations, professional and trade organizations, business organizations, commercial publishers, independent research organizations, and universities. Comprised of three indexes--the American Statistics Index (ASI)--Index to International Statistics (IIS)-- and Statistical Resources Index (SRI) that give bibliographic citations, abstracts, and links to selected full-text tables and web sites when available. The Government Publications Library has the companion microfiche collections which include copies of almost all the publications indexed in this database.
- Monthly Bulletin of Statistics Online
 MBS Online presents the current month's economic statistics for most of the countries and areas of the world. Also included are a selection of annual and/or quarterly data on a variety of subjects illustrating important economic trends and developments. The resource is provided by the United Nations Statistics Division
- OFFSTATS: Official Statistics on the WWW
Hosted by the University of Auckland Library, this site lists other web sites offering free and easily accessible social, economic and general data from official or similar "quotable" sources, especially those that provide both current data and time series.
- Polling the Nations
 The online version of the American Public Opinion Index, this database is a compilation of more than 14,000 surveys conducted by more than 700 polling organizations in the United States and more than 80 other countries. Each of the nearly 350,000 records reports a question asked and the responses given. Also included in each record is the polling organization responsible for the work, the date the information was released, the sample size, and universe.
- WDI Online
 WDI (World Development Indicators) Online contains statistics for over 550 indicators from 1960 for over 200 countries and 18 country groups. Subjects include: social welfare, economies, natural resources, and the environment. Data may not be available for all years for all countries. - World Factbook
Published annually, this brief guide profiles the economy, government, land, demographics, communications, and national defense establishments of 191 nations and other political entities.
