Finding Maps
Search MNCAT: Advanced Search
- Perform a keyword search for the country, city or area
- Limit your search to the Format of "Maps/Cartographic Materials"
- Write down the location and call number.

Note: when searching for maps, the location most likely
will read "WILSON Borchert Map." This means the map is located in
the John R. Borchert Map Library, in the Wilson Library sub-basement.
However, they can be found in other libraries, so be sure to write
down the correct location.
Use the Card Catalog
- If you can't find what you need in MNCAT, go to the John R. Borchert Map Library, located in the sub-basement of Wilson Library, and use the card catalog or consult with a Map Library staff member.
Get Materials
- Go to the Hours page for library locations and hours (Library Home Page>Hours)
- Use the call number to find the map on the shelf in the library.
