The University Libraries are a strategic asset for the University, providing intellectual leadership and extraordinary information experiences toward the advancement of knowledge.

Mission

The University Libraries inspire learning and discovery through information resources, collaboration, and expertise.

2005-2006 Goal Themes

The Libraries will play a leadership role in developing, sustaining, and enabling a robust environment of information resources for the campus, the state, and worldwide communities.

The Libraries will realize its essential academic mission and strategic directions through collaboration on campus, within the profession, and more broadly with stakeholder communities.

The Libraries will develop effective learning environments and programmatic strength in information literacy.

The Libraries will design a well-integrated, highly functional digital infrastructure for content, tools, and services.

The Libraries will nurture an organizational culture that values innovation, efficiency, effectiveness, and ongoing staff and organization development.
