A Welcome from the University Librarian

Welcome to the University of Minnesota Libraries' Alumni website. This new service makes it easier than ever before for University alumni to take advantage of the rich resources and collections of the University Libraries.

You've told us that you need a straightforward, easy way to find information about what the Libraries have to offer. This site is designed to help you do just that. We've gathered together links to selected, authoritative web resources that provide reliable information on the topics of most relevance to you.

The site also connects you to our network of expert reference librarians. E-mail your questions to us and we'll answer them (on average) within 24 hours--or contact us for a live, interactive chat session about your question.

The site's FAQ section gives you answers to basic questions--like how to borrow books, how to obtain copies of journal articles, and how to use the Libraries' broad toolkit of online resources.

Members of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association will also soon be able to access selected licensed databases online, including Academic Search Premier and Business Source Premier. Both of these databases will provide full-text articles from a wide range of journals and newspapers.

We value your commitment to lifelong learning and the role you continue to play in making the University Libraries a rich and vibrant intellectual center of campus life. We look forward to continuing to serve your needs and welcome your feedback on this new service.
